Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the site.
2. How we use cookies
AcademyOSuses a small number of cookies, all in the “essential” category. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
3. Essential cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They cannot be switched off:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Authentication session (Supabase). Set when you sign in. | 1 year |
| academyos-cookie-consent | Remembers your cookie banner choice (also legacy: juve-cookie-consent). | Persistent (localStorage) |
Both are first-party. They are not shared with third parties and are never used for tracking across other websites.
4. Analytics cookies
We do not use any analytics cookies today. We don’t run Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar, or any equivalent. If we add lightweight analytics in future, we will update this page first and add a clear toggle to the cookie banner.
5. Third-party cookies
A few third-party services we rely on may set their own cookies on the pages they appear on:
- Stripe — sets fraud-prevention cookies (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) on payment pages and checkout. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
- Google Fonts— web font delivery only. Does not set tracking cookies.
- Cloudflare R2— image and document hosting. Does not set cookies on our pages.
6. Managing your preferences
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner:when you first visit the site, you can choose “Accept All” or “Essential Only”. With no analytics in use, both choices are functionally equivalent today.
- Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy settings.
- Clear consent: delete the academyos-cookie-consententry from your browser's localStorage to see the banner again.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly, particularly the Parent Portal and Coach Dashboard.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated review date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
8. Contact us
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at hello@academyos.co.uk.
